Trivia happens in the Cheers room itself: the wood bar with its bottles and screens, the high-tops, and the dining tables under the pressed-tin ceiling. It is the same neighborhood bar on a Thursday as on any other night, with a game running through it.
Food is part of the evening. The kitchen closes at 2am, well after the first question, so nobody has to choose between a round and an order. Bone-in wings are $9 for six and $17 for twelve, in any of thirteen wing sauces or three dry rubs at no charge.
Shareables suit a table that is busy writing answers. Soft Pretzels, Cheese Curds and Buffalo Chicken Dip with corn tortilla chips are $9 each, and the Quesadilla is $8. The Classic burger is $12 on grilled brioche, and it comes with crispy fries like every burger here.
For a bigger group of friends or co-workers, the parties form is the way to ask about space ahead of the night, and a call works too. Otherwise, order at the bar or at a table as the night goes.
